Survey: The population trusts the Lithuanian Army the most, the least – the Seimas

A recent survey conducted between June 19 and June 30 assessed public sentiment regarding ten specified Lithuanian institutions, gauging whether citizens said they trust or do not trust each entity. According to the data, the Lithuanian army received the highest level of confidence, with 73% of respondents indicating they trust the institution, compared to 21% who do not. This represents an increase from the 71% trust reported in May.

Similarly, the Lithuanian police maintained a high level of public confidence, with 71% of respondents said they trust the force, and 24% expressing distrust. This figure marks an increase from the 69% trust reported in April. The survey data highlighted a pattern among several key sectors.

Specifically, four institutions were reported to be trusted by a higher percentage of the population than those who did not trust them. These included the Church, where 68% said they trust it versus 23% who did not; “Sodra,” which reported 64% trust versus 27% distrust; municipalities, at 59% trust to 32% distrust; and the Presidential Office, which registered 51% trust against 43% distrust. These findings provide a snapshot of current public perceptions of various Lithuanian bodies.
