The band „ba.“ released their fifth album: „The Crazy Inspiration“

The artistic group “ba.” approached the creation of their latest work with a focus on innovation rather than repetition, according to creative soul and voice Ben Aleksandravičius. Instead of following a traditional album release schedule, the group developed a new body of work, titled MIXTAPE VOL. 1, over a concentrated period of four months.

This project was conceptualized as a deliberate creative experiment, leading the members to intentionally deviate from established rules that had guided their previous efforts. The genesis of the album is partly rooted in personal shifts; K. Liukaitytė cited her departure from roles involving television, weddings, and collecting weapons as a significant influence, which directly informed the title.

The choice of “mixtape” reflects the inherently experimental and freer nature associated with that music format. Initially, the group had planned to dedicate an entire year to the album’s development, but the organic nature of the creative process led to a surprising and accelerated timeline. This rapid development resulted in an album that challenged the group’s established boundaries.

By embracing the spontaneity of a mixtape format, “ba.” delivered a product that felt immediate and unconstrained. The resulting new material showcases a willingness to experiment with structure and sound, marking a distinct departure from their prior, more structured output. The collective approach successfully transformed a planned, lengthy endeavor into a concise, yet highly experimental, artistic statement.
