During this operation, the officers stopped and inspected a Mercedes-Benz S400 sedan. The vehicle was being operated by a 30-year-old Uzbek citizen who possessed a temporary residence permit in Lithuania.
The Lithuanian border guards subsequently presented the individual with a driver’s license that was issued in Uzbekistan in 2022. This document prompted the border guards to question its authenticity, leading to further investigation by the patrolling officers. In a separate incident reported on the same day, authorities were involved in an evacuation following the discovery of a cave.
Approximately 18 individuals were reportedly found and successfully guided out of the cave structure. These separate reports highlight ongoing security activities conducted by the border services in the region.
