In a related development, Meituan unveiled LongCat-2.0 on Tuesday, a new large-scale language model (DLM). The company stated that the performance of this new model is comparable to the “Gemini 3.1 pro” model, which was released in February. DLMs are foundational technologies that power various AI applications, including sophisticated chatbots.

This intensified focus on indigenous technology is evident across multiple sectors. The strategic limitations on high-end components underscore a broader technological decoupling.
