“Kino po žvaigždėmis,” traditionally known for its intimate outdoor film screenings, is expanding its scope to become a comprehensive city summer festival. While the event has previously featured the Royal Castle’s courtyard, the current iteration plans to utilize multiple locations across the city. Konrad Kazlauskas, the executive director organizing the festival, stated that the program will be exceptionally diverse.
The offerings will include curated films shown in traditional cinemas, complimentary screenings held in city meadows, and a special “Go3” television package. The festival’s activities are set to take place in the Great Courtyard of the Royal Castle from July 29 to August 6. The programming is scheduled to continue into the evenings, with screenings available after sunset.
Beyond the cinematic offerings, the festival’s itinerary also includes special events and cultural discussions, such as a session featuring A. Armonaitė discussing current political matters. This expansion marks a significant broadening of the cultural event, moving beyond a single venue to integrate various public spaces into the festival experience.
Attendees can anticipate a rich schedule encompassing diverse forms of entertainment and cinematic viewing opportunities throughout the designated period.
