The citizens complain that the street is flooded after every downpour.View makes me want to get up

A resident of Antagynė Street contacted the news portal Kas vyksta Kaune to report significant flooding issues affecting the local area. The individual stated that substantial water accumulation occurs on the street following periods of heavy rainfall. According to the resident, this recurring problem negatively impacts both traffic flow and the integrity of private property.

The core complaint centers on the infrastructure, as the resident said the street lacks a comprehensive stormwater drainage system. Instead, the area relies only on stormwater wells, which reportedly become saturated within a short timeframe—approximately ten to fifteen minutes—after intense downpours. Furthermore, the resident noted related issues, including instances where vehicles are damaged and discarded car parts are left on the street.

The concerned residents have reportedly engaged multiple municipal bodies, including UAB “Kauno vandenys” and the Kaunas city municipality, seeking resolution. They have also reached out to various other relevant services. While the residents acknowledged that water-pumping equipment has arrived on the street periodically, they stated that these temporary measures have not resolved the underlying systemic problem.
