The driver of the BMW was not involved in a car accident on the motorway – the car flew off the road and overturned

Multiple incidents involving impaired driving and vehicle accidents were reported across several Lithuanian districts. In the Kaišiadorys district, near the village of Utakiai, an accident occurred at 9:27 when a four-wheel drive car overturned into a ditch on the A1 motorway, which runs between Žiežmarių and Kaunas. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene, with initial reports suggesting occupants might have been trapped within the overturned vehicle.

Upon arrival, rescuers determined that no persons were trapped, and they proceeded to disconnect the car’s battery. Police later identified the driver involved in the accident as a woman born in 1984. Separately, in Klaipėda, authorities tracked a dangerous chase involving a suspected intoxicated driver, which spanned approximately 60 kilometers.

In other areas, police intercepted multiple instances of impaired driving. In Vilnius and Kaunas, two separate incidents resulted in the detention of drunk drivers, one of whom tested positive with a blood alcohol content of 3.66 percent. Furthermore, a separate recorded incident involving a drunk driver was documented in the Kėdainiai district.

These reports highlight ongoing concerns regarding responsible driving practices, as multiple drivers were involved in various accidents across the region.
