The foreigner will save the country champion Kaunas Žalgiris

The Kaunas football club has recently announced several personnel changes. The squad said farewell to Eivinas Černius, whose previous team experienced difficulties in reaching the Olympic table and historically struggled to achieve consistent victories. Additionally, the club said goodbye to Daviu Ikaunieku.

The team has also seen coaching changes, with a Croatian coach having been associated with the squad since February of this year. This coach brings extensive experience, having worked with various clubs including Rijeka, Gorica, Sabah, Lodzės Widzew, Zagreb Dinamo, and Al Ain. Looking ahead, the kaunas side is scheduled for a key league fixture on July 3rd in Telšiai.

They will face Džiugas, currently leading the Top league table. The team is presently positioned in second place in the league standings, accumulating 27 points. Furthermore, the club has qualified for the UEFA Champions League competition, where they are slated to face a representative from Kosovo.

These upcoming matches will be crucial as the club aims to solidify its position in both domestic and European competitions.
