The German police are on the target of a drug smuggling network operating throughout Europe

The Cologne prosecutor’s office has conducted extensive investigations targeting a suspected cross-border drug smuggling operation. As part of the inquiry, investigators executed searches at more than thirty private residences, commercial businesses, and undisclosed locations. Furthermore, the prosecutor’s office issued nine arrest warrants for suspects whose ages range between 24 and 31.

Authorities indicate that the investigation is currently focused on apprehending the leaders of the group, bringing the total number of suspects under scrutiny to 31 individuals. It is alleged that these leaders have been operating a sophisticated drug smuggling network over several years. Preliminary findings from the investigation suggest that the cumulative value of the transactions associated with the operation exceeds 11 million euros.

These ongoing efforts are part of a broader pattern of international drug enforcement. In related seizures, authorities previously reported the confiscation of a metric ton of heroin in Poland, and separately, 100 tons of illicit drugs destined for European markets were discovered in Chile. The prosecutor’s office continues to lead the efforts to dismantle the smuggling ring and prosecute those involved in the drug trade.
