Lithuania gained an early advantage in the match, taking an initial lead of 9:6. Following four minutes of play, Brazil successfully scored, narrowing the gap to 12:11. Lithuania regained the advantage after another three minutes of play, leading again at 17:15.

Their lead was extended one minute later, putting them ahead 19:17. The match saw both teams attempt long-range shots, which ultimately allowed Brazil to equalize the score at 20:20. The contest became a two-point differential battle, which Lithuania won with a long-range shot by Evaldas Džiaugys, resulting in a 22:20 victory.

This marks the second success for Lithuania in the World Championship. Earlier in the day, Lithuania defeated Belgium with a score of 21:14, while Brazil lost their opening match to Puerto Rico with a score of 17:19. In a different group, France managed to defeat Belgium 21:20.

Furthermore, in the elimination round, Lithuania secured a win against Russia with a score of 21:15.
