The Lithuanian beach volleyball players have secured a ticket to the European U20 Championship

A Lithuanian pair secured their passage to the European U20 Championship in Italy, scheduled for September 2-6. The duo, consisting of R. Mačionis and D.

Sinkevičius, achieved this by winning all three of their group stage matches, which advanced them directly to the quarterfinals. Their journey to the final involved a semifinal contest where they faced the Polish pair, Viktor Musial and Tomasz Warycha. In that semifinal match, the Lithuanian athletes were defeated with a score of 2:1, with the sets recorded as (20:22, 22:20, 17:15).

However, in the subsequent semifinal, they overcame the Estonian pair, Armin Kender and Artur Tšuhnenkov, with a score of 2:0 (21:17, 21:16). This victory secured one of the two coveted tickets for the European championships. The successful run marked a significant achievement for the Lithuanian representatives.

By advancing to the final, they earned their spot at the upcoming European tournament. The results confirm the dedication and competitive level of the Lithuanian team as they prepare for the international competition in Italy.
