The Lithuanian plaque is the winner of the most important German classical music award Opus Klassik

The recording featured a diverse ensemble of artists, including the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre de la Radiodiffusion Philharmonique de France. The musical performance was guided by conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, accompanied by pianist Oneta Gražinytė. Additionally, the choir “Aidija” performed the piece “Sutartinė,” while chorists from the M.K.

Čiurlionis Music School participated. For the choir segments, the music was conducted by R. Grażyński, the composer.

According to Aleksandra Kerienė, sound director and director for the “Baltic Mobile Recordings,” the creation of this recording was driven by a process beyond the pursuit of awards or formal recognition. Instead, the project aimed to facilitate a comprehensive creative exploration, involving new musical material, expanding scope, and addressing various technical challenges. Kerienė noted that the collaboration was particularly unique, citing the palpable energy among the participants—the people, the energy, and the orchestra—which seemed to capture not only the sound but also the natural breath of the performers.

The recording captured the intensity of the collaboration as the choir “Aidija” performed alongside the other groups. This collection of music represents a significant effort in documenting contemporary Lithuanian musical artistry through this specialized recording process.
