The Lithuanian U20 girls’ basketball team remains sixth in Europe

However, the second quarter saw the dynamic change, as the Polish team managed to take the lead, building a substantial advantage by the end of that period with a score of 41-35.

The third quarter proved to be a period of parity, as the teams narrowed the gap, reaching an even score of 49-49 by the 27-minute mark. Despite this near-even exchange, Poland managed to regain the upper hand during the latter part of the third quarter, leading the contest 52-49. The decisive action occurred in the fourth quarter.

With approximately six minutes remaining, Sintija Aukštikalnytė engineered an equalizer, bringing the score to 56-56. The game remained tightly contested until the final moments. The breakthrough for the Lithuanian side came via a three-point shot by Danielė Paunksnytė, allowing Lithuania to finally break through and secure the victory in the final quarter.
