The initiative, titled “without neriMO,” is set to engage residents of Vilnius aged 65 and older through a comprehensive community project. This effort, funded by the City of Vilnius, is designed to promote physical activity and emotional well-being among seniors. To reach potential participants, the project is partnering with Antakalnio and Centro poliklinics, utilizing the staff of these healthcare institutions to disseminate information.
The program incorporates a variety of activities intended to enrich the participants’ lives. Beyond physical engagement, which includes the popular practice of parkour, the sessions emphasize emotional reflection through artistic mediums and provide opportunities for seniors to connect within small groups. A total of 120 participants are scheduled to attend intensive, one-week sessions led by educational psychologists from the MO Museum.
During these structured sessions, the seniors will engage with diverse cultural sites across Vilnius. The curriculum aims to provide meaningful experiences, allowing participants to develop new connections while spending time in the city’s cultural spaces. The overall goal is to offer a holistic program that supports both the physical health and emotional vitality of the elderly population.
