The new light vehicles market grew in July: the top three brands are announced

Data from Lithuanian car manufacturers indicates a significant increase in the volume of vehicles entering the market. The total number of cars registered in the country last month reached 5,004, marking a notable rise compared to the nearly 4,000 vehicles registered at the same time last year. Analysis of the new car market reveals brand performance leaders.

Volkswagen led sales with 1,023 units, followed by Škoda with 813 units, and Toyota with 765 units. In the premium segment, Audi maintained its leading position among high-end brands, recording 238 sales. Furthermore, the data highlights a substantial shift toward electric mobility.

In July, 430 electric cars were registered. This figure represents a 32.3% increase year-over-year, significantly surpassing the 325 electric vehicles registered during the previous year. Overall, the statistics suggest robust growth across the automotive sector in Lithuania.

The increased number of vehicles across various segments, particularly the rise in electric cars, points to evolving consumer preferences and a strengthening market for both new and used automobiles.
