The “Miškobank” initiative, supported by the Lithuanian population, has successfully secured the preservation of a significant tract of woodland. Key features include a mature 165-year-old oak grove situated on the slopes adjacent to streams. Furthermore, the forest contains several other ancient groves, including lime trees over 100 years old, alongside mature oak and beech specimens, highlighting the ecological richness of the region. The continued dedication to these efforts underscores a commitment to conservation, ensuring the long-term viability of these natural assets through careful management and expansion of protected forest plots.
