He noted that while some attendees experienced disappointment due to capacity limits, this is a recurring issue. Seilius observed that the local audience generally prefers lighter genres over serious academic music. However, he emphasized that all performances at the festival are live, described as being delivered “from the heart to the heart.” He stated that the festival aims to cater to music enthusiasts traveling from larger cities such as Vilnius, Kaunas, and Alytus.
He expressed satisfaction with the full houses, noting a shift in the audience’s engagement. “I am happy that we have full houses of the audience who come to the concerts not to watch, but to listen,” Seilius remarked, contrasting this with the common phrase, “we go to watch the concert.”
Despite the occasional disappointment regarding entry, the consistent high attendance suggests a strong local appreciation for live musical experiences. The success of the recent concerts indicates that the festival is successfully drawing both local patrons and dedicated music lovers to Marijampolė.
