A chemistry student at the Faculty of Chemical Technology at KTU initially engaged in scientific activities during her early studies. Her commitment to scientific research deepened significantly during her third course, following her return from part-time educational commitments in South Korea. This progression provided an early opportunity for practical laboratory work and the commencement of her final project.
Guostė’s specialized research journey began within the organic synthesis laboratory. Her focus has been on developing potentially selective compounds intended for use in perovskite solar cells. These synthesized materials are designed to function as interlayers, thereby enhancing the efficiency of electrical charge transfer and mitigating energy losses within the solar cell structure.
Currently, the area of self-assembling monolayers (SAM) has drawn considerable attention within her research scope. The student has utilized these advanced materials to improve photovoltaic performance. Her work demonstrates a focused application of chemical principles to address critical challenges in renewable energy technology, marking a clear trajectory from foundational coursework to advanced, practical research application.
