The tickets for the ship “Raketa” have been published: not everyone will buy them(1)

Travel fares between Nida and Kaunas show notable variations in pricing. Currently, the return journey from Nida–Kaunas is reported to cost 49 euros, and the window seat option is exempt from additional taxation. Historically, in 2020, when the restored “Raketa” service resumed regular operation, the one-way ticket cost 49 euros, while the window seat carried a separate fee of 59 euros.

Pricing fluctuations have been observed in recent years. At the start of the 2022 season, the lowest reported ticket cost to Nida was 39 euros. Following the Whitsun period, the cost increased to 49 euros.

Furthermore, return travel from Nida to Kaunas on Thursdays and Fridays was noted at a lower rate of 29 euros. Passengers should also account for supplementary charges associated with luggage and bicycles. Separately, scientific experts have raised concerns regarding the environmental impact of rapidly melting Greenland glaciers.

These scientists suggest that the consequences stemming from this glacial melt could potentially affect Europe. The comparison between historical and current travel costs highlights the variable economic factors associated with passenger transport in the region.
