Furthermore, the pathway to the Toplyga will involve a play-off match contested between the team that finished 9th in the 2026 Toplyga and the team that placed 2nd in the I league. The regulations for the I league also underwent revision. Instead of direct promotion for multiple teams, only three teams will advance directly to the 2027 I league from the II level A division.
For the remaining spots, a play-off will determine promotion, pitting the team that finished 14th in the 2026 I league against the team that placed 4th in the II level A division. Finally, adjustments were made for the lower tiers. Only four teams are set to advance directly to the 2027 II level A division from the B division.
