According to Viktoras Matonis, Director of the Production Service of “Vilniaus vandenys,” the primary goal of the initiative is to overhaul the city’s aging infrastructure.
By reconstructing century-old water supply pipes, the project aims to prevent recurring service accidents and structural collapses. This upgrade is expected to ensure a consistent and reliable water supply in the future, thereby reducing the need for unplanned traffic disruptions on these thoroughfares.
