Three men were sentenced in Kaunas for drug smuggling, two of them received long prison sentences

According to criminal case data, two individuals, identified as I. K. and E.

K., were involved in multiple instances related to controlled substances. Initially, the men purchased two packages, each containing approximately 0.5 grams of cocaine, intended for personal use during travel. These substances were transported in a Volvo car to Polish territory.

Later that same evening, the men returned to Lithuania using the same vehicle. The situation escalated at the state border post in the Lazdijai district. When police stopped the car, the narcotic substance was discovered and seized during a personal search.

Furthermore, authorities found that E. K. was keeping 0.8 grams of ketamine, also designated for personal use, at his place of residence.

Investigation revealed a more significant operation involving E. K. and D.

Š. The pair allegedly planned to conduct a drug smuggling operation originating from Poland. Evidence suggests that E.

K. received instructions and a financial transfer from D. Š., after which he illegally acquired nearly 4 kilograms of the drug.

The investigation details the movement of the car and the activities of the men involved in the illegal trafficking of narcotics across international borders.
