Due to the nature of this specialized construction, temporary traffic restrictions are required to ensure the safety of both the public and the construction crews.
These one-day restrictions are crucial for the precise installation of the truss beams. Once this phase is complete, the construction of the new section of the overpass is expected to continue with fewer significant disruptions to the general flow of traffic. In addition to the overpass improvements, existing traffic management plans related to the national stadium’s construction remain in effect.
These ongoing works mandate specific closures. Notably, traffic restrictions will be active on Thursday, June 18th, between the hours of 4:00 and 16:00. During this period, Kirtimų-Gariūnai will be closed to facilitate the critical truss beam installation works on the overpass.
Authorities have emphasized that these temporary limitations are essential steps in completing major infrastructure upgrades. The coordinated nature of these works requires adherence to the specified traffic diversions to ensure the safety and successful progression of both the overpass reconstruction and the stadium development.
