“Wolt Market” is leaving Lithuania: it will close all stores

Wolt announced the cessation of its Wolt Market operation in Lithuania. According to a statement released by Lasse Weber, Wolt Market’s head for the Baltic countries and Denmark, the decision was based on an assessment that the necessary investment level to sustain a viable Wolt Market business within Lithuania did not align with the company’s long-term strategic goals. Weber acknowledged the difficulty of the decision, stating, “It was not an easy step.

We are proud of the work our team has done in recent years in Lithuania.”

The statement clarified that the withdrawal is specific to the Lithuanian market. Wolt confirmed that its plans to invest and operate in other markets where the Wolt platform is active remain unaffected by this decision regarding Lithuania. The platform emphasized that the decision to exit the market in Lithuania is purely a strategic one.

Wolt continues to focus its resources on other operational areas to ensure continued service quality for its customers.
