The store closed one of the largest “Maxims” in Kaunas – customers are waiting for a five-month break

A major Maximos store located in Kaunas is scheduled for a comprehensive renovation, necessitating its temporary closure for an estimated period of five months. According to Ernesta Vareikytė, the head of Maximos communications, the final day of operation before the renovation will be July 6th. To accommodate customers preparing for the subsequent long weekend, the store will extend its operating hours until 10 pm.

The facility is anticipated to reopen its doors to the public near the beginning of the winter season. Following the extensive refurbishment, the customers can expect several enhancements. Improvements include an expanded selection of fresh food products, an enlarged cashier zone supplemented by modern self-service cash registers, and a generally modernized interior design throughout the premises.

In addition to the Kaunas renovation, updates were also noted at the Maximoje branch in Vilnius’s Akropolis. There, a new “At” section has been incorporated into the existing flour department, adding new product offerings for shoppers. The planned renovation aims to modernize the shopping experience while improving product availability.

The closure is intended to facilitate these upgrades, ensuring that when the store reopens, it provides a more contemporary and efficient shopping environment for its clientele. The temporary closure is managed to minimize disruption while maximizing the quality of the retail space for returning customers.
