It seems that the problems are not there anymore, but the anxiety has not disappeared: the psychotherapist warned what this reveals

Psychotherapist Dainius Jakučionis suggests that the difficulty many individuals face in confronting their own thoughts is a common, rather than rare, challenge. The persistence of emotional distress is significant, to the point where some individuals have reportedly shown preference for treatments such as electroshock therapy. Current data highlights the widespread nature of emotional strain.

According to the National Well-Being Index (NSI), initiated by Eurovaistinė, nearly half of the population reports experiencing anxiety without a discernible cause. Furthermore, approximately four out of ten people report feeling stress in their daily lives. Despite this high prevalence of emotional challenges, proactive self-care appears insufficient.

Data indicates that only 38% of people report engaging in relaxation practices at least sometimes, while a notable 34% report using no relaxation methods whatsoever. Experts caution against the assumption that well-being will naturally improve once stressful periods conclude or troubles are resolved. This expectation often leads to neglecting preventative mental health measures.

The statistics demonstrate a clear gap between experiencing distress and implementing coping strategies. The findings underscore the need for greater awareness regarding routine emotional maintenance, suggesting that relying solely on recovery after crisis may prove inadequate for maintaining overall psychological health.
