Fourteen players are scheduled to arrive at the Birštonas camp for the national team preparations beginning on Monday. Jonas Valančiūnas, who recently joined the Kaunas “Žalgiris” team during the off-season, will not be participating with the Lithuanian national team on this occasion. However, Ąžuolas Tubelis and Marekas Blaževičius, both members of the Lithuanian champion team, are confirmed to join the national squad.
This roster selection means that Tubelis and Blaževičius will be the only Lithuanian players competing in the Euroleague tournament. Furthermore, there will be no Lithuanian NBA players contributing to the national team effort this time around. The assembled group of players will focus on preparations for the upcoming national team commitments.
The composition of the team reflects current squad availability across various professional leagues. The focus for the Lithuanian national team will therefore be on integrating the available talent pool, centered around the players from the domestic league’s top club.
