How not to lose the desire to move in the autumn? Personal trainer gave practical tricks

A recent National Health Index (NSI) study, conducted by Eurofarma, examined the relationship between lifestyle habits and overall well-being among Lithuanian residents. The research highlights a significant divergence between public perception regarding personal health and actual daily routines. According to the findings, a notable 30% of the population identified physical activity as the single most crucial determinant of physical health.

Respondents indicated that they considered exercise more influential than diet, work schedule, or sleep quality. However, the study revealed a substantial gap between stated priorities and current habits. Data indicates that four out of ten residents reported engaging in no physical activity whatsoever.

Furthermore, among those who do incorporate movement into their lives, gym attendance is not the most common method. Instead, 59% of participants favor light to moderate intensity activities, such as walking, gardening, or cycling during daily life. The analysis suggests that while the importance of movement is widely acknowledged, consistent engagement remains a challenge.

The report also noted that only 5% of individuals reported not being actively engaged in physical activity on purpose, suggesting a general awareness of the need to incorporate movement. Overall, the data underscores a need for behavioral change, emphasizing that while the perceived value of staying active is high, translating that awareness into consistent, routine physical action remains a key area for public health focus.
