A drunk driver from Kaunas County crashed into parked motorcycles and drove off – two children were injured

According to the Kaunas County Police Department, an accident occurred on August 25 at approximately 6:20 p.m. in Antagynė village, located within the Kaunas district. A BMW vehicle, operated by a man born in 1994, struck multiple stationary vehicles, including an XTR motorcycle, a Piaggio moped, and a Peugeot motorcycle, before the driver fled the scene.

The driver was subsequently located and taken into custody. Police testing revealed that he was operating the vehicle while intoxicated, with his blood alcohol content measured at 2.37 prom. The collision resulted in injuries to two children, aged 2012 and 2013, who were passengers on the XTR motorcycle and Piaggio moped involved in the incident.

Both children were transported to the hospital for medical attention. The incident underscores dangers associated with impaired driving in the region. The police report details the collision involving the BMW, emphasizing that the driver was operating the vehicle while drunk and impacting several parked items, including a motorcycle.
