Drunk driver in Kaunas district hit a motorcycle and ran away from the accident location

According to reports from the Kaunas County Police, an incident involving impaired driving occurred on August 25th at approximately 4:30 PM in Ežerėlis, Kaunas. The collision took place at the intersection of Saulės and Miško streets. A vehicle operated by a man, born in 1951, struck a stationary Kawasaki motorcycle before the driver fled the scene of the accident.

Police subsequently located the individual. Upon testing, his average level of intoxication was recorded at 1.91 prom, indicating significant impairment. Following the discovery, the police department initiated a formal investigation into the circumstances of the crash.

The driver, who was found to be operating the vehicle while drunk, has since faced legal charges. In addition to the investigation into the collision, the individual is now facing a sentence of one year in prison.
