A car was stolen in Kelmė by a thief posing as a buyer

Police authorities received a report concerning a theft that occurred at approximately 20:20 on Raseinių street in Kelmė. The incident involved a man, identified as being born in 2004, who allegedly stole a car from the yard of a multi-apartment building. The vehicle belonged to a woman born in 1993, and the victim estimated the value of the damaged property at 3,000 euros.

The stolen vehicle was subsequently recovered by authorities at 22:25 in Šiauliai, located in the yard of a private residence. Following the recovery, the suspect was apprehended by police and subsequently detained. An official investigation has been launched regarding the details of this theft.

The report also noted several other instances of vehicle theft across the region, indicating a pattern of local property crime. These included reports of a utility vehicle being stolen in Alytus and a light car being damaged in Trakų district. Furthermore, separate incidents involved a man allegedly stealing from Rokiškis and Klaipėda, as well as the theft of a minibus.

In connection with the reported activities, police have taken action against multiple suspects. Authorities confirmed the arrest of the individual involved in the primary theft case, and further investigations are ongoing to address the various cases
