A fire in a house in Kaunas district was burning

The Kaunas Fire and Rescue Department, operating under the Lithuanian Fire and Rescue Service, responded to a significant structure fire reported at 9:30 PM. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found a one-story wooden house engulfed in flames. The intensity of the fire caused extensive damage to the property.

Investigators noted that the roof structure was completely burned, and the interior contents of the house were destroyed. Furthermore, the walls and an attached stove unit with a chimney were left heavily charred. During the initial rescue operation, crews were able to safely remove a deceased dog and a gas cylinder from the damaged structure.

Following the incident, the owner of the property was detained by police authorities due to behavior deemed inappropriate by responding officers. Authorities have confirmed that a formal investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
