A new rapeseed processing plant will be built in one Lithuanian city

A company plans to establish a facility capable of processing up to 100,000 tons of rapeseed seeds annually. The operation is designed to produce technical rapeseed oil for subsequent biodiesel production, in addition to feed and lecithin. Projections indicate the annual output will include 40–44 thousand tons of technical rapeseed oil, alongside 56–60 thousand tons of feed and approximately 1.5 thousand tons of lecithin.

The total cost associated with financing this project amounts to 12.72 million euros. This funding structure involves a contribution of 7.62 million euros from the European Union (EU) Fund for the Fair Reconstruction, supplemented by a 5.1 million euro investment from the company itself. Rapsoila has commenced preparations for the project, including the purchase of necessary equipment.

The facility is scheduled for completion by the end of August 2029. In terms of recent performance, data from the Registry Center shows that Rapsoila experienced growth last year, reporting revenues of 90 million euros, marking a 3% increase. Furthermore, the company’s net profit increased by 10%.
