A resident of Kaišiadorys, who is under police supervision, threatened to burn her unused and everything around

On July 8th at 7:56 pm, the Kaunas Fire and Rescue Service was dispatched to Kruonio village on Vilnius street. According to reports from the service, the call was initiated after a woman, who was in police custody, communicated intentions to commit self-harm and property damage. She reportedly stated plans to burn her yard and herself, adding that she also wished to remove and burn her shoes.

Upon arrival, the firefighters conducted an assessment of the scene. They reported finding no existing signs of fire at the location. Following the initial report, the service maintained a standby presence while awaiting the arrival of medical personnel and additional police units.

The incident involved a direct report of suicidal ideation coupled with arson threats. The Kaunas Fire and Rescue Service personnel remained on site to manage the situation until all necessary emergency services arrived. The primary concern remained the woman’s stated desire to burn both her property and her own belongings.

The continuous presence of the fire service ensured a coordinated response alongside medical and law enforcement teams.
