After the biggest Russian attack on Kyiv during the war – the latest information shows that damage is being fixed throughout the city, and the number of dead is increasing

Search and rescue operations remain active across multiple locations in Ukraine, including a partially collapsed apartment building, according to the State Emergency Service. Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko characterized the recent assault as the biggest attack of the war. Damage reports indicate that all districts of the city were affected, leading to the declaration of a day of mourning in the capital on Friday.

The assault involved Russia launching 74 missiles and 496 long-range drones, with a significant portion of the ordnance directed at Kyiv. Ukrainian air defense successfully intercepted 48 missiles and 476 drones. However, 25 ballistic missiles and 12 drones successfully struck 33 different targets.

The consequences of the Russian attack in Kyiv have resulted in substantial damage. By 7:00 a.m. local time, the number of injured had risen to 56, and reports documented over 30 structural collapses and various damage sites across all Kyiv districts.

Officials noted the rapid deterioration of structures, with one instance described as a building that was quickly destroyed. These ongoing efforts underscore the scale of the damage sustained within the city following the coordinated military action.
