All summer long, music will be played by the water – “Water music” expands horizons

Live music performances have commenced and are scheduled to continue throughout the summer, according to Justinas Stanislovaitis, a Lithuanian artist and festival organizer. The extensive program encompasses numerous locations, spanning from the shores of various lakes to smaller municipal areas. The festival itinerary covers Ignalina, Utena, Zarasai, Varėna, Molėtai, Visaginas, Nemenčinė, and Varėna, featuring a total of 61 free concerts.

Stanislovaitis noted that the scheduling of the concerts is specifically timed for working days. This arrangement is designed to provide residents and visitors with evening entertainment options, allowing them time to relax near bodies of water while enjoying professional musical acts. The focus of the musical programming is on light-genre music.

This selection aims to cultivate a relaxed, seasonal ambiance, complementing the natural environment and encouraging activities such as picnicking or enjoying refreshments by the water. According to the organizer, a careful balance has been achieved among the performers, musical styles, and the overall soundscape to foster a cozy atmosphere throughout the summer months. The continuous availability of these concerts ensures that there is musical entertainment for all tastes and interests throughout the season.

The commitment is to provide a consistent thread of culture and enjoyment, making the experience of the summer a comprehensive celebration of music and community gathering across the region.
