Another village will get a road repair: here is what is planned

Maintenance works are scheduled for a significant section of the road located in Žasliai. Specifically, the project will address the 1,134 km stretch along Kaišiadorys street, covering the area from the town’s entrance up to the intersection with Vilnius street (road number 143). AB Kauno tiltus has been contracted to perform the necessary repairs, with the total cost for the undertaking set at 445 thousand euros, inclusive of VAT.

According to the tender documentation, the physical road renewal works are slated to commence in early September. The scope of the project involves comprehensive revitalization of the existing infrastructure. The primary objective is to renew the worn-out asphalt surface, systematically removing all visible bends and cracks to ensure the structural integrity of the road.

These efforts are designed to restore the road to optimal condition for public use. This initiative focuses on improving the usability and safety of this key thoroughfare. The planned maintenance aims to address deterioration across this specific segment, ensuring that the road remains reliable for local traffic.

The contractor will manage the full cycle of renewal, from surface preparation to final paving, solidifying the commitment to maintaining local transportation networks.
