Beginning September 1st, several bus and trolleybus services are scheduled to resume their regular operations following the completion of various street and infrastructure improvements across the city. According to local transport updates, while the majority of services are expected to return to their established paths, temporary adjustments may remain necessary in specific areas where construction work is still ongoing. The resumption of full service is anticipated for several key lines.
Specifically, the 6 and 12 trolleybus routes are set to return to their normal operational routes. Furthermore, the entire main street area is slated to reopen to general traffic by the end of September. In addition to the main trolleybus lines, several bus routes will also resume standard service.
The 5G, 7, 46, 48, and 73 bus routes are expected to return to their designated stops. Residents of the Taranda area will also benefit from the restoration of service, as the 3G, 7, 46, 48, and 73 bus routes are set to return to their normal paths following the reconstruction of Gegliškės street. These scheduled adjustments reflect the phased completion of municipal works.
While some areas will see immediate normalization of service, commuters are advised to monitor local announcements for the most current information regarding any localized detours or temporary changes in the operational routes. The goal of these phased reopenings is to ensure that public transit services gradually resume full capacity across the affected districts.
