Drivers in Vilnius, be prepared: you will not drive through these city streets on Friday

Temporary traffic restrictions are scheduled for the central areas of Vilnius in preparation for and during the “Kultūros naktis” festival. These changes will affect several key thoroughfares, impacting local drivers. On June 12, specific sections of the city will see vehicle prohibitions.

From 5:00 PM until midnight, driving will be restricted in the Gedimino pr. part, specifically the stretch from A. Jakšto to Vasario 16-osios street.

Additionally, from 6:00 PM on the same day until midnight, vehicle access will be prohibited on Vingrių street. While these restrictions are in place for the festival, some related infrastructure improvements are also noted. Drivers will benefit from the completion of work on a portion of Trakų street in Vilnius.

For those traveling by car, updates are also available regarding major routes. Information is provided concerning changes on the A1 and A2 highways, which may present additional considerations for drivers. These temporary measures are part of the city’s preparations for the cultural event.

The guidelines aim to manage traffic flow through the central part of Vilnius during the festival period, affecting movement on multiple city street networks.
