During the first six months of the year (January to June), members of the Seimas collectively spent over one million euros on parliamentary activities. The total expenditure for this period reached 1.285 million euros. On average, the monthly spending on these activities equated to 0.8 average monthly salary (AML).
Specific monthly expenditures varied across the period. In January and February, the spending totaled 1,942.08 euros. In March and May, the figure was 2,021.44 euros, and in June, the expenditure amounted to 2,043.36 euros.
Consequently, over the first half of the year, each member of the Seimas was allocated 11,991.84 euros for parliamentary activities. Separately, attention has been drawn to allegations concerning V. Ąžuola regarding alleged attempts to bribe voters.
However, A. Norkienė has stated that she does not intend to investigate this specific case. This indicates a divergence of opinion regarding the handling of the allegations.
