From the meteorologists: warning about the weather to come: who will be blocked by the strongest

Forecasters predict that Lithuania will experience inclement weather over the coming weekend due to the influence of Cyclone Peggy. According to reports from meteo.lt, residents should anticipate periods of significant rain, with potential for heavy downpours and thunderstorms developing over multiple districts. During thunderstorm activity, strong wind gusts are forecast to reach speeds of 15 to 17 meters per second.

Meteorologist Elvyra Latvėnaitė issued the forecast, warning that the adverse weather conditions will be accompanied by strong winds and periods of rain. Given these predictions, specific safety recommendations have been issued for the public. Drivers are advised to exercise extreme caution when traveling, maintaining safe speeds and increased following distances due to expected poor visibility and slippery road surfaces caused by the heavy rain.

Furthermore, individuals caught outdoors when a thunderstorm occurs are urged to seek immediate shelter. The report specifically warns against remaining in open areas, near isolated trees, or close to metal poles, and advises against running during such weather events. The public should remain vigilant regarding the rapidly changing weather conditions throughout the weekend.
