High school students will take the English language and economics exams

The National Education Agency (NEA) has provided details regarding the structure of the upcoming Economics and Entrepreneurship Exam for 12th-grade students, scheduled for completion on Wednesday. This comprehensive assessment is designed to test applied knowledge rather than rote memorization. The second part of the exam, which focuses heavily on practical application within the field of economics, consists of four to six structural open questions.

Each question is preceded by introductory material and is followed by related prompts requiring detailed responses. The assessment format emphasizes analytical skills, requiring students to address complex tasks such as solving hypothetical problems, interpreting statistical results, organizing disparate information, and drawing conclusions from presented data. Students must demonstrate proficiency in chart creation, graph analysis, and formulating well-supported arguments.

Because the questions are open-response in nature, students are required to compose their own written answers, undergoing a traditional three-hour verification process. Simultaneously, 11th-grade students will be taking the initial segment of their English examination. This portion is dedicated to listening and reading comprehension tasks.

The listening component, specifically, is structured around four distinct tasks, each representing a different genre and type of auditory material, ensuring a broad measure of the students’ comprehension abilities across varied contexts. Both exams aim to provide a thorough evaluation of the students’ academic readiness.
