How much fuel costs in Lithuania on Monday: not everything is expensive

On August 31, the Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA) received fuel price information from 72 fuel companies representing 740 gas stations across Lithuania. Fuel companies are required to report the prices of fuel sold at their gas stations daily to the LEA by 10 a.m. This data is subsequently published on the en.lt website.

Given that gas station fuel prices can fluctuate multiple times throughout the day, this daily reporting mechanism provides a snapshot of the market. As of the morning of August 31, the submitted data indicated variations across different fuel types and locations. Specifically, the reported fuel prices showed the lowest diesel price was recorded at a Neste network gas station located in Tauragė, priced at 1.899 EUR/l.

This consistent reporting structure ensures that the public has access to current information regarding fuel costs. The daily submission process helps consumers and industry stakeholders monitor the prevailing prices for various fuels at gas stations nationwide. The collection of this detailed data is crucial for market transparency, allowing the LEA and the public to track the day-to-day movements in the fuel market.
