A break-in occurred at a commercial shop in Klaipėda early this morning, at approximately 3:08 a.m. Authorities responded to the scene after discovering that the premises had been forcibly entered. Upon arrival, investigators found significant damage to the property.
The perpetrators gained entry by smashing the window of the establishment. In addition to the forced entry, the thieves stole several items, including multiple mobile phones, a cash register containing approximately 100 euros, and two loudspeakers. The extent of the vandalism was considerable.
Beyond the initial entry point, the intruders also caused damage to the door glass and damaged the shop’s blinds. The total estimated cost of the damage sustained by the shop has been calculated at 8,350 euros. A formal theft investigation has been launched by local law enforcement to determine the identities of the suspects and recover the stolen goods.
Police are treating the incident as a serious case of burglary, focusing efforts on understanding how the entry was gained and cataloging all resulting damage, including the multiple instances of broken glass and fixtures. Authorities are urging any witnesses who may have observed suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
