Authorities have reported two separate incidents concerning the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition across different locations. In the Ukmergė district, an incident was reported at approximately 3:50 p.m. A man, born in 1986, located a gas pistol within his aunt’s garden in Sarapų village.

The individual subsequently turned the firearm over to the local police authorities. Later that afternoon, at about 4:20 p.m., a second significant discovery was made in Vilnius. Specifically, at a multi-apartment building on V.

Grybo street, personnel were conducting routine tasks involving sorting and moving belongings in the basement. During this activity, a substantial cache of ammunition, totaling approximately 795 units of various calibers, was found. The police officers immediately secured all items.

Following these discoveries, the police confirmed that criminal investigations have been initiated. These investigations pertain to the illegal possession of both the firearm and the large quantity of ammunition recovered.
