Police authorities in Vilnius reported a burglary that occurred on Friday evening at approximately 9 p.m. The incident took place at a garage located on A. Kavoliukas street.
According to the police department, perpetrators gained entry by taking the keys to the facility, subsequently breaking into the premises to steal valuables. The stolen property included a significant sum of cash, amounting to 10,000 euros, alongside personal items such as a Nokia phone, bank cards, and identification documents. The total assessed loss resulting from the robbery was reported to be 10,140 euros.
In connection with the theft, law enforcement apprehended one suspect, identified as being born in 1959, and transported him to the police station. Additionally, a minor accomplice, born in 2011, was summoned for questioning. A preliminary investigation has since been initiated by the department to determine the full scope of the crime.
Authorities are continuing their inquiry into how the perpetrators were able to access the garage in the heart of Vilnius. The investigation aims to piece together the sequence of events and identify any other individuals involved in the taking of the assets.
