It announces the latest forecast – warns of a stormy day with rain and hail, and in some places there may be a storm again(1)

A low-pressure system, designated “Bernadeta III,” is projected to move into the region, initiating a period of cooler and overcast weather accompanied by wind and rain. This weather pattern is expected to persist through the weekend. The bulk of the rainfall is anticipated for Wednesday and Thursday, with Lithuania positioned near the center of the atmospheric vortex.

Despite this concentration, rain is forecast for numerous districts on other days. Forecasters advise that outdoor plans may be disrupted by the persistent rainfall. For those on vacation this week, the weather may prove challenging.

According to the latest calculations from the ECMWF weather model, many areas within Lithuania are expected to receive between 20 and 60 mm of rain by Friday evening. This volume suggests significant precipitation, necessitating the use of rain gear. The weather forecast indicates a noticeable shift from the dry conditions experienced on July 6th to a period dominated by wet weather.

While the low-pressure vortex will bring substantial rain, the disruption is expected to cover a wide geographical area, meaning that some districts will not escape the wet conditions. Therefore, preparation for continuous rain is recommended.
