Pinkevičius stated that this acquisition represented the final project for his real estate development group, “Ranga Group.” Pinkevičius, 65, was the founder and head of the previously prominent real estate firm, “Ranga IV.” However, the trajectory of the company faced significant challenges. During the 2008 recession, the court seized the shares and assets of “Ranga IV.” Subsequently, in 2010, the related entity, “Ranga IV investicijos,” filed for bankruptcy. The news report also included commentary questioning the financial stability of businesses reliant on a single source.

A statement highlighted the inherent risk, suggesting that an individual “knows very well whether the company has alternatives” when depending on one bank. This sequence of events marks a notable transition for Pinkevičius’s development ventures, following years of corporate restructuring and legal intervention within the real estate sector.
