Lithuania will lose another school: all will lose their jobs – teachers and cleaners

According to Milda Jankauskienė, a spokesperson for the Employment Service, a report was received concerning staffing adjustments at the Kražantės Primary School located in Kelmė. The report detailed plans for the dismissal of a specific group of staff members from the school’s total workforce. Ms.

Jankauskienė stated that out of a total of 110 employees, 22 individuals are expected to lose their positions. The roles slated for dismissal include nine teachers across various academic disciplines, three preschool teachers, three cleaning staff members, and several farm workers, among other positions. The planned reduction in personnel is set to take effect on September 1st of this year.

The dismissal process is scheduled to comply with the legal provisions outlined in Article 63 of the Labour Code. This indicates a structured, legally mandated separation for the affected employees. The announcement provides clarity regarding the scope of the workforce changes at the institution.

The measures affect multiple segments of the school community, from specialized teachers to support staff. The necessary adherence to labor law suggests that the school administration is following established protocols when these employees are expected to lose their employment status.
