Lithuanian text: Lrytas received a document brought by democrats(3) to the negotiations

A delegation from the Democrats visited the headquarters of the Social Democrats, engaging in discussions regarding potential government formations. The Democratic Party delegation was led by interim chairman Virginijus Sinkevičius and included parliamentarians Lukas Savickas, Domas Griškevičius, Tomas Tomilinas, Linas Kukuraitis, and Ekaterina Rojaka. They were received by representatives from the Social Democratic Party, including party leader Mindaugas Sinkevičius, first deputy Robertas Duchnevičius, Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė, Minister Juras Taminskas, and parliamentarians Orinta Leiputė and Rasa Budbergytė.

During the meeting, the Democrats presented a ten-page document detailing their proposed work program for a new government. Beyond the programmatic points, discussions are also expected to address the division of ministerial portfolios. It has been reported that the Democrats have been assured the Ministry of the Environment, Agriculture, and Energy.

Addressing the gathering, V. Sinkevičius indicated that the current discussions would provide clarity on the distribution of governmental responsibilities. The meeting signals ongoing negotiations between the two major political blocs concerning the composition and agenda of a prospective coalition government.
